This policy explains how MiVault handles documents, permissions and personal information.

Your documents stay on your device

MiVault does not require an online account and does not upload your stored documents to Miwares Technology.

1. Overview

MiVault is a private document wallet developed and maintained by Miwares Technology. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the MiVault mobile application.

2. Information we collect

MiVault does not require you to create an online account and does not collect personal information for registration, advertising or user profiling.

Documents, images and document details that you choose to add are processed and stored locally on your device.

3. Document storage

Documents added to MiVault are stored within the application's local storage on your device. MiVault does not automatically upload, synchronize or back up your documents to an external server.

You are responsible for keeping any device backups you may require. Deleting the application or clearing its local data may permanently remove documents stored in the app.

4. Permissions used

Camera

Camera access is used only when you choose to capture or scan a document.

Files and selected media

MiVault uses your device's system picker so you can select a PDF, image or supported document. The app accesses only files you explicitly select.

Notifications

Notification access is used to provide document expiry and renewal reminders when this feature is enabled.

Biometric authentication

Fingerprint or facial authentication is handled by your device's operating system. MiVault does not receive or store your biometric information.

5. Data sharing

MiVault does not sell, rent or share your personal documents with advertisers, data brokers or other third parties.

6. Data security

MiVault provides local security features intended to help prevent unauthorized access, including:

  • PIN protection
  • Biometric authentication on supported devices
  • Private application storage

No method of digital storage can guarantee absolute security. You should also protect your device with a secure screen lock and keep its operating system updated.

7. Children's privacy

MiVault is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Third-party services

The current version of MiVault does not use advertising services and does not collect data for targeted advertising.

MiVault may use operating-system services and software libraries to provide file selection, notifications and biometric authentication. These services operate according to their respective platform policies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to MiVault, applicable legal requirements or privacy practices. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised effective date.
